CRPF jawan died of heart attack while on duty in Chhattisgarh. The jawan was posted as ASI in Sukma, Chhattisgarh. After his death, the body of ASI Rakesh Kumar wrapped in the tricolor reached Visunpura in his native village Guthni in a military vehicle on Monday. As soon as the dead body arrived, there was chaos in the entire village. On one hand, the eyes of the people present there became moist due to the mourning of the family members. On the other hand, the village echoed with the slogans of the youth like Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Vande Mataram.
Rakesh, son of Suryanarayan, resident of Visunpura village of Sohgara Panchayat of Guthni, a small village in Siwan district, had joined the CRPF job in 2016. Presently posted in Sukma Camp, Chhattisgarh. After returning from duty in Sukma, Rakesh started playing badminton in the playground and suddenly fell down. The other soldiers playing with him and the camp immediately took him to the hospital. But after some time the doctors declared him dead.
Let us tell you that the team of soldiers led by CRPF officer Amrit Kumar Singh from Muzaffarpur handed over the body of ASI Rakesh to the family members with military honours. On this occasion, Guthni police station incharge Rambalak Yadav, CO Shambhunath Ram were also present. When the funeral procession started from Visunpura village, hundreds of people along with dozens of vehicles, marching with slogans of patriotism, reached the banks of Saryu river in Giyaspur and witnessed the last rites.
Rakesh was given military and civil honors on the banks of river Saryu. Salute was given by the army personnel and the tricolor was handed over to his father Suryanarayan, retired CPO of the Indian Navy, and seven-year-old son Rishabh. Rakesh has two children, including nine-year-old daughter Anshika and seven-year-old son Rishabh. The situation worsened due to the crying and mourning of wife Alka and mother Panmati Devi. It was Rishabh who lit the funeral pyre of his father on the banks of river Saryu. On the occasion of the last rites, Guthni Police Station Head Ram Balak Yadav, Regional Head Ranjit Kushwaha, Sarpanch Vijay Pal and many other prominent people paid tribute to him by garlanding him.
